Jūrmala in Latvian, has been a very popular destination for both Latvians and foreigners since 19th century. Jūrmala is a seaside city, 33 kilometres in length between eastern and western border, with superb, incredibly long continuous white sand beach. Plenty of things to do in summer, quite less during the cold season, but still a great day trip destination from Riga.
