Hotel Ylläshumina is a ski-in, ski-out hotel on the Äkäslompolo side of Ylläs, built right against the village's own slopes rather than out on the main resort road. It has the feel of a smaller, family-run place next to the bigger chain hotels on the Ylläsjärvi side.
The hotel runs its own bistro and bar with a terrace that fills up at the end of the ski day, and rooms look out over either the slopes or Äkäslompolo village.
Local tip: Because it's on the Äkäslompolo side, it puts you a short walk from the village's restaurants and shops rather than a drive – useful if you don't want to rely on the ski bus every evening.
