The Convento de San Marcos is one of Leon’s most magnificent monuments, a former pilgrims’ hospital and monastery with a breathtaking, intricately carved Plateresque facade stretching along the riverside plaza. Once a key stop for pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago, it now houses a luxurious parador hotel and a church and museum.
