Its name and red-brick fitting reference New Orleans, in a Neapolitan setting and with a largely local audience. The programme runs to nightly concerts by local and touring musicians alongside jam sessions open to visiting players, who can sign up at the start of the evening, with sets generally starting around 10pm; performers have included the drummer Billy Cobham alongside Italian jazz, blues and swing acts. The club opens Tuesday to Sunday from 8pm, closing at 2am on weeknights and Sundays and at 3am on Friday and Saturday, and is closed on Mondays. Seating is at small tables around the stage and a cover charge or minimum first drink applies when a band is playing. The room is compact and fills quickly during popular sets, so booking is recommended at weekends.
