Chiaja Hotel de Charme

Chiaja Hotel de Charme

Chiaja Hotel de Charme occupies the piano nobile of an eighteenth-century palazzo on Via Chiaia, the pedestrianised shopping street running west from Piazza del Plebiscito. The building belonged to the Marchese Lecaldano Sasso La Terza and was restored by his descendants, who still run it. Rooms are divided between the original noble apartment and the adjoining Palazzo Sant’Anna, once a discreet nineteenth-century establishment whose heavy drapery and antique furniture have been deliberately retained; each room is individually named and furnished with period pieces. Breakfast, including sfogliatella and Neapolitan coffee, is served in a small cafe off the entrance hall. The Palazzo Reale, the Teatro San Carlo and the Galleria Umberto I are within five minutes on foot.
