Palma’s biggest and best-loved covered food market, a 1950s hall of some 115 stalls between Plaça d’Espanya and Carrer Sant Miquel. Fishmongers, greengrocers, butchers and delis pile high with Mallorcan produce — and dotted among them are tapas counters where you can perch on a stool and eat oysters, prawns or grilled fish cooked on the spot. Liveliest on Saturday mornings; a brilliant, tasty slice of local life.
