One of George Town’s historic clan jetties — a community of Chinese stilt houses built out over the water along Weld Quay in the early 1900s, home to descendants of the Tan clan from Fujian. Wander the wooden boardwalk past shrines, hanging laundry and little shops for a glimpse of a fading waterfront way of life, with fine sunset views over the channel. Quieter and less touristy than neighbouring Chew Jetty, and part of the UNESCO World Heritage zone.
