Wm. Mulherin’s Sons Hotel

Wm. Mulherin’s Sons Hotel

Four suites above an Italian restaurant in Fishtown, set in an 1890s whiskey blending and bottling house whose painted signage still marks the brick facade. The rooms are large, individually laid out and fitted with kitchens, and there is no conventional front desk, so arrivals are handled by the restaurant team. Downstairs the kitchen works a wood-fired oven for pizza and pasta, and there is a bar and a coffee counter. The building sits directly under the Market-Frankford elevated line, which is loud but puts Center City about ten minutes away by train. Self-parking is charged. It suits travellers who want the neighbourhood rather than the tourist core.
