A lovingly developed botanical garden about 7km from Ploiești, run by the Prahova County Museum of Natural Sciences. Opened in 2014, it lays out British, French and Italian formal gardens alongside some 300 species of trees, ornamental flowers and plants, with an exotic-fish pond and an ornamental fountain. Peaceful, pretty and inexpensive (around 15 lei), it’s a lovely half-day for families and plant lovers just outside the city.
