The best-loved green space in central Ploiești — a leafy, historic park ringed by handsome old buildings, with shaded paths, benches and a calm, unhurried air. At its heart stands the equestrian statue of Mihai Viteazu (Michael the Brave), the 16th-century Wallachian prince who first united the Romanian lands. A pleasant spot for a stroll, a coffee or an hour of people-watching in the middle of the city.
