The Sahat Kula, or Clock Tower, is one of the few surviving Ottoman-era monuments in Podgorica, standing in the historic Stara Varos district amid narrow streets, old houses and the Starodoganjska Mosque. Wandering this old quarter offers a glimpse of the citys layered past under Ottoman and later rule, a contrast to the modern centre across the river. The clock tower and its surroundings are among the most atmospheric historic sights in the capital.
