Arctic Light Hotel

Arctic Light Hotel

A family-owned hotel of fifty-seven rooms and suites in Rovaniemi’s former city hall, a 1949 building from the reconstruction period that followed the destruction of the town in the Second World War. The conversion kept restored architectural elements, including the old council chamber, which is now used for events. Rooms are individually designed around Arctic themes and vary widely in size. Communal spaces include the glass-roofed Arctic Winter Garden, a bar and a restaurant serving northern ingredients, with a substantial breakfast buffet. The position is central, on the main street a short walk from Lordi’s Square, the Kemijoki riverbank and the bus connections out to Santa Claus Village.
