La Jolla Sea Cave Kayaking Tour

A ninety-minute guided paddle in tandem kayaks along the La Jolla coast within the San Diego-La Jolla Underwater Park, an ecological reserve. Groups are limited to ten and set out from the Everyday California premises on Avenida de la Playa, walking down to the beach at La Jolla Shores for a launch through the surf. The route follows the sandstone cliffs to the Seven Caves, a line of sea caves cut into the headland, with the guide explaining their formation and the marine reserve's wildlife. Leopard sharks, rays, sea lions and cormorants are commonly encountered. Kayaks, paddles, buoyancy aids and a safety briefing are provided, along with hotel pickup. Conditions at the caves depend on swell and entry is not always possible.
