A small record shop on Fern Street in South Park, opened as a partnership between the Vinyl Junkies team and Tim Mays, who also owns the Casbah. The connection shows in the stock, which is strong on punk, indie, garage and San Diego bands alongside soul, jazz and reissued rock. Both new and second-hand records are sold, and the shop takes part in Record Store Day each April, when it stages in-store performances. The premises is genuinely small, as the name suggests, and browsing is close-quarters work. It stands on the short South Park run of shops around Fern and Juniper Streets, which also holds a bakery, bars and independent retailers, roughly a mile south of North Park.
