Crowning the hill above the old town, St Michael Fortress is the oldest of Šibenik four fortresses, with origins in the medieval period. Restored as an open-air venue, it offers panoramic views over the city, harbour and archipelago, and its stone stage hosts concerts and events through the summer. Admission is ticketed, and the climb rewards visitors with the finest vantage point over Šibenik.
