The red-brick castle tower, the Turaida Rose's grave and the Dainu kalns song hill sit in one large reserve across the valley from Sigulda.
A wide open-air site: climb the tower for the valley view, walk the manor buildings, the Liv trail and the sculpture-filled song garden.
Local tip: Hours shift with the season, 9am to 8pm in summer but 10am to 5pm from November to February. Allow at least three hours.
