About Thessaloniki

Thessaloniki, often called Salonika or "co-capital" is the second largest city in Greece. It has a population of around 350.000. Many of them are students in two of the largest Universities in Greece (Aristotle University and University of Macedonia). It is the 5th largest most populated city in Balkans. Thessaloniki is renowned for its festivals and cultural events like Thessaloniki International Film Festival and Thessaloniki International Trade Fair. Not to forget that Thessaloniki is European Youth Capital in 2014. In your stay you can visit many Byzantine monuments that town has to offer and plenty museums covering Ancient Greece, Sports, Greece's railway history, photography and finally not forget at least 4 museums related to the Arts. Additionally you have to walk in the, brand new, center of the city that it is by the sea. After all this of course you can party a lot because this city boasts a great nightlife !!!
