Vud is a small design shop on Via Diaz turning local wood and ceramics into cutting boards, tableware and homeware, and it holds 4.7 on Google, among the highest scores of any shop in the city centre.
Everything is handcrafted in small batches using elm, oak, chestnut, walnut and pear, so the stock changes often and pieces don’t tend to stay on the shelves for long.
Local tip: It’s a good stop for a gift that’s actually made in Trieste rather than imported for the souvenir trade.
