Tuzlas Pannonian Lakes are a unique attraction: the only saltwater lakes in Europe located in a city centre, created to celebrate the areas ancient salt-water heritage. In summer they become a popular bathing resort with beaches, waterfalls and a salt-themed archaeological park recreating a Neolithic pile-dwelling settlement. The lakes reflect the salt that has defined Tuzla for millennia and are the citys signature sight, drawing visitors to swim and relax in the heart of town.
