Ca Sagredo Hotel

Ca Sagredo Hotel occupies a fifteenth-century palazzo on the Grand Canal at Campo Santa Sofia, beside the Ca d’Oro vaporetto stop in Cannaregio. The building is a protected national monument and keeps the frescoed ceilings, monumental marble staircase and ballroom of its years as a patrician residence, so parts of it read as much as a house museum as a hotel. There are 42 rooms and suites, a number of them facing the water. L’Alcova, the hotel restaurant, has a terrace over the canal looking across to the Rialto markets, which supply much of its produce, and there is a rooftop terrace and a bar. Rialto Bridge is roughly ten minutes’ walk away.
