About Victoria

Victoria, the capitol of British Columbia, is tucked away on the south end of Vancouver Island on the west coast of Canada. Victoria is on of the oldest cities in the Pacific Northwest with British settlements starting in 1843. Victoria is home to many heritage buildings such as the British Columbia Parliament Building, The Empress Hotel (where kings and queens stayed back in the early 1900's), and Hatley Castle(where scenes from X-Men were filmed) .Victoria's Chinatown is the second oldest in North America and holds the title for narrowest street in Canada. Victoria was name 3rd friendliest city in the world by the Conde Nast Traveler 2014 World’s Friendliest Cities. With a population of only 80,000 Victoria holds a heart of gold with a bit of an old soul.
