The Meštrović Atelier occupies the former home and studio of Ivan Meštrović, Croatia’s most celebrated sculptor, in the historic Upper Town. Now a ticketed museum, it displays a rich collection of his sculptures in stone, wood and bronze, along with drawings and furniture, arranged across the atmospheric 17th-century house and its leafy courtyard. Intimate and beautifully preserved, it offers an absorbing insight into the artist’s work and life in one of Zagreb’s most charming quarters.
