Storchen Zurich occupies a narrow riverside plot on the Weinplatz, on the right bank of the Limmat between the Rathaus and the Munsterbrucke, on a site that has held an inn for centuries. It is a small five-star house of 64 rooms and suites, part of the Swiss group The Living Circle rather than an international chain. Rooms look out either over the river towards the Fraumunster or into the lanes of the old town. Dining is split between La Rotisserie by the water, the Italian-leaning Piazza on the square, the Barchetta bar and lounge, a cigar bar and the rooftop bar THE NEST. The river terrace opens in the warmer months. Bahnhofstrasse, the Lindenhof and the Grossmunster are all a few minutes away on foot.
