Kaiamo is a tasting-menu restaurant on Strada Ermil Pangratti in Dorobanți, a quiet street of interwar villas north of the centre and near Herăstrău Park. The chef, Radu Ionescu, trained in London before returning to Bucharest, and the cooking reworks Romanian regional dishes and ingredients through modern technique, with courses that play on familiar preparations such as sausage and mash. Menus are seasonal and offered at several lengths, from a shorter format to a long sequence of courses, with wine pairings drawing on Romanian producers. The dining room is small and the presentation deliberately theatrical. Service is dinner only and the restaurant closes at the start of the week, so booking in advance is necessary.
