Grand Canyon West Rim Helicopter Landing Tour

Grand Canyon West Rim Helicopter Landing Tour

This excursion flies from Boulder City Municipal Airport, about 40 minutes south-east of Las Vegas, aboard an EcoStar helicopter with wraparound glazing. The outbound leg of roughly 35 minutes passes over Lake Mead, the Hoover Dam and the Black Mountains before descending into the western Grand Canyon and landing on a plateau some 3,200 to 3,500 feet below the rim, beside the Colorado River. Around 30 minutes are spent on the canyon floor, where a glass of champagne and light refreshments are served. The return flight retraces the route to Boulder City. Total elapsed time is about four and a half hours including transfers; hotel pickup from a list of Strip and Downtown properties is offered, or guests may drive to the airfield themselves.
