Potomac River Sightseeing Cruise

A 45-minute narrated cruise on the Potomac, boarding at the Georgetown Washington Harbour at the foot of 31st Street NW. The vessel runs downstream past the Kennedy Center and the Watergate complex, giving river-level views of the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument and the Arlington Memorial Bridge, with the Virginia shoreline and Theodore Roosevelt Island opposite. Commentary covers the buildings passed and the river's role in the city's development. There are lavatories on board and a bar serving drinks and light snacks for purchase. Departures run through the day and into the evening in season. The short duration suits it to combining with other National Mall activities, and the boarding point is a short walk from Georgetown's waterfront.
