Hazrat-Khizr Mosque sits on a small rise overlooking the old town, with a terrace that gives one of the better free viewpoints over Bibi-Khanym Mosque and Registan Square in the distance. The site is dedicated to Khizr, a figure venerated as a patron of travellers, and the current structure has been rebuilt more than once over the centuries.
Time a visit for late afternoon, when the light angles nicely across the old town rooftops below.
Local tip: The courtyard and viewing terrace are free and open; interior mosque access has occasionally been restricted per visitor reports, so treat the view as the main draw.
