Tandem opened in 2013 as the first restaurant in Naples devoted entirely to ragù, and the tiny original branch on Via Giovanni Paladino 51 in the centro storico is still the one to seek out. The ragù and la genovese — onions and beef slow-cooked for hours — arrive over pasta or simply with bread for scarpetta, at prices that stay friendly for the city centre. With only a handful of tables, book ahead or arrive right at opening, especially on weekends.
