SESC Pompéia

Pompéia

One of São Paulo’s greatest spaces: a former steel-drum factory that architect Lina Bo Bardi reimagined in the early 1980s as a democratic cultural and sports centre, keeping the raw brick sheds and adding bold concrete towers linked by sky bridges. Inside you’ll find theatre, exhibitions, workshops, a library, pools and sports courts — plus a famously convivial café and sun deck. Come to catch a show, or just to soak up one of the city’s most beloved buildings.

While you’re in the city, pair it with a São Paulo gastronomy tour.
