Sfäär — 'sphere' in Estonian — was one of Tallinn's most original spots, a restaurant, café and design store rolled into one just outside the old town on Mere puiestee. Half stylish bistro, half concept shop, it paired inventive Nordic-Estonian cooking with racks of designer clothing and a wine store, all in a cool, retro-tinged space.
For years it was a favourite for a leisurely lunch that could end with buying the jeans off the rack or a bottle from the shelf. Sfäär closed its doors in 2019, but the buzzy Rotermann Quarter and the streets around Mere puiestee remain full of design shops and good places to eat.
