The Log Lady is a delightfully surreal little bar in central Copenhagen, lovingly themed after David Lynch's Twin Peaks and named for the show's log-toting seer. Behind the door on Studiestræde you will find a red-lit, candle-flickering den strewn with stuffed animals, dried flowers and tree-stump tables — cosy, kitsch and just the right side of eerie.
It is an easygoing, arty hangout rather than a slick cocktail lounge: come for a well-made drink, a coffee or a beer, settle in with a book or a board game, and soak up the Lynchian mood. There is a busy line-up of live music, band nights and cultural happenings that gives the tiny room a warm, community feel.
Local tip: It is small and atmospheric, so it is best early evening or when there is live music on. Embrace the theme — half the fun is spotting the Twin Peaks references — and check their programme for gig nights.
