Speicherstadt

Speicherstadt

Red brick, iron bridges and narrow canals make up this UNESCO-listed warehouse district, built on oak piles from 1883 onwards.

Wander the fleets on foot, crossing bridges between Kehrwieder and Poggenmühle, where the water reflects the gables and turrets.

Local tip: Poggenmühlen-Brücke by the Wasserschloss is the classic view; it costs nothing and is quietest before 09.00.
