A punk dive bar off Paradise Road, open since 1992 and trading around the clock. Walls and ceiling are covered in psychedelic murals painted over decades, the jukebox is well regarded among people who care about such things, and bands play in a corner with no stage to speak of. Its house drink and its posted slogan have entered local folklore, and the bar has appeared in several films. It sits near the University district rather than on the Strip, and the crowd runs heavily to service-industry staff finishing late shifts. Cash is the simpler option at the bar. A sister venue operates in New York's East Village, but this is the original and remains scruffier than anything on the boulevard.
