Maraca occupies an Art Deco building on Arzobispo Nouel and takes familiar Dominican dishes – concón, seafood, grilled meats – and refines them for an occasion-dinner crowd rather than an everyday one. It's become a regular pick for celebrations in the Zona Colonial, and the room's design gets almost as much attention as the food.
Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends, since tables turn over slowly by design.
Local tip: Ask about the concón – it's one of the dishes locals specifically come back for.
