The cable car has crossed the Gauja valley between Sigulda and Krimulda for decades, hanging 43 metres above the river on the way over.
A short ride in a small cabin with the ancient valley, three castles and the bobsleigh track spread out below. Runs daily 10am to 6.20pm.
Local tip: Go one way and walk back via Gūtmaņa Cave. Autumn, when the valley turns gold, is the busiest and best time to ride.
