The Museum of the Bible occupies a converted refrigeration warehouse on Fourth Street SW, two blocks from the National Mall, and opened in 2017. Its seven floors cover the text's history, narrative and cultural impact, with galleries of manuscripts and printed editions, a floor of artefacts from the ancient Near East, and a reconstructed first-century Nazareth village. Timed general admission covers all permanent galleries, including the World of Jesus of Nazareth walkthrough, a short film and an immersive treatment of the Hebrew Bible. This ticket permits entry an hour before general opening, except on Sundays. The flight simulator is an optional extra with a minimum height requirement. Tickets are collected at the lobby counter after security.
