Built inside a former Baptist church dating from 1912, with the original vaulted ceiling, organ pipes and arched windows retained above the lobby. The conversion opened as a hotel in 2017 and the public spaces function as a de facto neighbourhood living room, with a large open lobby used for working, drinking and occasional live sets. Bedrooms are compact by American standards and lean minimal, with reclaimed timber and locally sourced artwork. The building sits at the western edge of Adams Morgan, a short walk downhill to the bars and restaurants of 18th Street and roughly ten minutes on foot from Woodley Park-Adams Morgan Metro. Ground-floor food and drink outlets change periodically, so current tenants are worth confirming before arrival.
