Nora Magasin was for years one of the most easygoing spots in the heart of old Reykjavík — a buzzy, colourful bistro-bar just off Austurvöllur square, all blue paint, warm wood and vintage odds and ends. It drew a steady local crowd for craft beers, cocktails and a menu of creative small plates, burgers and fresh fish.
Its sunny terrace was a summer favourite and the drinks ran late into the night. The bar has since closed its doors, but the surrounding streets of the Kvos quarter remain packed with places to eat and drink.
