Formerly the Artisan, this small adults-only hotel on West Sahara reopened in 2022 as The Lexi, billed as the first cannabis-friendly hotel in the United States. It has no casino and no gaming floor, which is rare in Las Vegas. The interior keeps the previous owners' most distinctive feature, walls and ceilings hung frame-to-frame with reproductions of classical paintings, alongside a courtyard pool and a lounge. Consumption is permitted in a designated area rather than in guest rooms, and Nevada law restricts purchase to licensed dispensaries. The setting is a busy arterial road roughly a mile west of the Strip, so a car or short ride is needed for most things, but the atmosphere is closer to a small independent hotel than a resort.
